I stopped by the SFMOMA today to check out the new Rineke Dijkstra installment. Her work is amazing. The exhibit mainly consisted of time portraits of Belgian people beginning as children and ending as adults. Taken with a large format camera her photographs are printed very large, showing immense detail. I really enjoyed how you could see the changes as the years went on with each portrait. You can kind of gain a sort of relationship with the person in the photograph. If you’re in the Bay area I recommend checking it out. The exhibit ends May 28th.
